TRAVEL DIARY: Get to know me in Belgrade, Serbia + Street Style Look

street style in Belgrade, Serbia

Hi guys!

I already told you in my latest blog post that I’ve also been to Serbia this summer. Surprise, surprise also for a big, beautiful and glamorous wedding. Did you know that some people really don’t like going to weddings? It makes them feel uncomfortable and unnecessary pressured. Why would that be? Everyone who lives in Albania or in Serbia has already attended multiple weddings in their younger years. Here, in Belgium, we don’t go to weddings that often and if we are lucky enough to be invited, we have to attend 4 weddings in one year. Typically.

“Gold Blazers & Leather High Heels”

So what do you think of this look? I didn’t wore it to the wedding (duh!) but to the dinner that took place the evening before the wedding. I don’t know about you guys, but I love this gold, satin blazer. It fits perfectly and you can wear it to every occasion. Off course, I combined it with black leather shorts and my new favorite, leather high heels. I’ve been looking for this pair everywhere. The thing that surprised me the most was how beautiful Belgrade actually is! I’ve never been to Serbia before but it was a wonderful experience. Maybe I’ve been living in a cage for the last years but Belgrade is quite modern, the architecture is amazing and they have a Sephora. We don’t even have a Sephora! Shame on you Sephora, for not giving us the chance to experience your brands and amazing high-wanted products.

” Mr. & Mrs. “

After I was back in Belgium and was scrolling through my Instagram feed, I began thinking about those weddings, where I spend 3 hours for in the bath room and was sitting at the hairdresser AND wore 12cm high heels to look flawless. (Do you also hear Beyonce in your head while reading that?) I began wondering how lucky some people are for finding the love of their life. How amazing it is to watch 2 people’s love story all over again and how beautiful wedding parties actually are.

Fun fact: I almost fainted in church during the church mass. Like I said, wearing 12 cm high heels who were strapped around my ankles, wearing a long sleeve dress and sweating(!!) was a little bit too much for me at the moment. I don’t know how the bride managed it all but I can tell you this: she looked absolutely gorgeous.

Wearing: Gold blazer from Missguided, bodysuit from Missguided, leather shorts from &Other Stories and a bag from Chloé
